The Internetwork Research Department at BBN Technologies specializes in developing networking technologies for the future, and working with our clients to realize those technologies today. BBN Technologies built the ARPANET in 1969, and members of our Internetwork Research group have over two centuries of aggregate experience in data networking research. Our strong commitment to research excellence is exemplified by a parallel technical career track for technical and management through the Vice President level, and support for participation in technical societies such as IEEE and ACM.

Currently, we are seeking qualified researchers in the field of data communications. Our research work is quite broad. Our research areas include:

Applicants must have a Master's or Ph.D. degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, and have experience with design and/or implementation of networking protocols, services, or transmission systems (e.g., wireless).
